Sell the experience (not just the product)

It's a nice rock, but you don't need to live underneath it
How do you show your customers that you're up to speed, and haven't been living under a rock?
By referencing what's going on in the world.

Working from home is the new normal for lots of people, so if that's relevant to your product/service, mention it!
Instead of just selling stationery (that people might not need if they already have some), this email paints a picture of what the product will do for the customer.
A cluttered WFH desk, how miserable it can be... so the solution is to jolly it up with some new stationery. Simple!
The email ends with a cheery little message to the customer that sounds like it's coming from a friend. The customer will then feel all warm and fuzzy, and ready to buy new stationery that they don't need, they want.
